Search for Registration Number
All U.S. Civil Aircraft have an assigned registration number. In the U.S., all registration
numbers begin with an "N" prefix and are commonly referred to as "N" Numbers. N-Numbers may
also be called Tail Numbers because the registration number of often painted on the tail of
an aircraft
To search, enter the N-Number in the box above and click Submit. You do
not have to enter the "N" prefix but you must enter an exact N-Number.
Wildcards are not available.
Examples: 102GA or N112SP

Search by Owner Name
Individual owners are recorded "Last First Mid", e.g., "JONES JEFFREY D".
Companies are recorded normally, e.g., "ACME ANVIL CORP".
Be sure to enter last name first when searching for individuals.
Using Wildcards
Wildcards are available to make it easier to find a name. A wildcard
is a character that may be used in a search expression
to represent one or more alphanumeric characters. An Asterisk (*) is
used to match one or more characters.
Example: Enter "*ILL*" to search for "BILL" or "WILLIAM"
Used less often, a question mark (?) can be used to substitute a single character.
Example: Enter "ho?se" might return "house" or "horse"
Note: An implied asterisk (*) is added to your name. For example,
if you enter a search of "ABC AIR", we will submit the search as
"ABC AIR*", which would return all owners that start with "ABC AIR"
such as "ABC Aircraft Inc" and "ABC Training, LLC"

Search by Serial Number
Searching by aircraft serial number can be very difficult due to a
wide variation in manufacturer formats. Serial numbers can be number only,
numbers with hyphens, or alphanumeric. Wildcard searches are available
to help locate serial numbers.
Using Wildcards
A wildcard is a character that may be used in a search expression
to represent one or more alphanumeric characters. An Asterisk (*) is
used to match one or more characters.
Example: Enter "E*212" to search a serial number that starts
with "E" followed by a "212". This can help you locate
Beech A36 serial numbers and ignores the dash ("-") that
should be present. It would return numbers like
"E-2121" or "E=212" or "E2123"
Used less often, a question mark (?) can be used to substitute a single character.
Note: An implied asterisk (*) is added to your Serial Number. For example,
if you enter a search of "E*212", we will submit the search as
"E*212*", which would return all numbers that may have more numbers
after the "212".
